Christopher K. Haase, born November 23, 1963, in Chicago, peacefully passed away on April 18th, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Norma L Haase (nee Castillo), and children Christopher M Haase, Kelsey E Haase, and Gabriella N Haase.
He is also survived by his siblings, Tami Haase, Michael Haase (Li), Jennifer O'Mara (Reed Hollopeter), and Carrie Haase, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was also a cherished son-in-law to Juanita Castillo.
Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Louise Haase, and his father-in-law, Guadalupe Castillo.
Christopher was a man of many passions. He savored the finer things in life, enjoying good bourbon, cigars, and the thrill of gambling, particularly in the games of craps and slots. His infectious enthusiasm and larger-than-life personality lit up any room he entered. He was known among his friends for his remarkable acting skills during spirited games of Guesstures.
More than anything, Christopher valued friendship and camaraderie. He had an open heart and an inviting smile, always eager to spend time with loved ones, sharing stories over drinks and cigars. His presence brought joy and warmth to those around him, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Christopher served his country with honor and distinction as a Captain in the Army from 1985 to 2001. Later in life he worked at Footprint Solutions, where he dedicated his talents and skills to his profession and colleagues.
Though Christopher may have left this world, his spirit and the fond memories he created will continue to be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 3:00-8:00 p.m at Bauman Family Funeral Home 5600 U.S. Route 34 in Oswego.
Family and friends are asked to meet Thursday, for 10:00 a.m Mass at St. Anne Catholic Church 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL. 60543.
